Mt Ida Project
Our village
With more than 200 rooms, the Forest Cabin Village offers a range of amenities including a private verandah, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, and ensuite bathroom in every cabin.
The cabins are themed around iconic dream destinations such as Bora Bora, Courchevel, Dubrovnik, Machu Picchu, the Maldives, Sorrento, and Venice, creating a unique and memorable stay.
The village is also home to several distinctive facilities, including the Bottle Creek Inn, Ida’s Kitchen, the Boudie Rat Gym, and Tim’s Find Market. Ida’s Kitchen regularly hosts themed dinner nights, offering guests a chance to enjoy special menus and unique dining experiences, while the Bottle Creek Inn is a popular gathering place for social events, including regular trivia nights.
Throughout the village, visitors can expect a welcoming atmosphere with a strong focus on quality, comfort, and community.
Our plant
The Mt Ida Gold Processing Plant, commissioned by GR Engineering in May 2023, is one of Australia's newest and most advanced gold processing facilities. Originally designed as a 1.5 Mtpa conventional Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) operation, the plant has undergone significant upgrades over the past 12 months, increasing annual throughput capacity to 2.5 Mtpa and enabling processing rates in excess of 320 dry tonnes per hour.
Key enhancements include the installation of two larger 24-metre diameter pre-leach and tailings thickeners, which have removed critical processing bottlenecks. These improvements, together with the addition of substantially larger conditioning tanks, have positioned the operation to achieve higher production targets and support future growth.
This milestone reflects the dedication and expertise of our team and project partners, whose efforts, once again, have enabled the successful delivery of these upgrades within an exceptional timeframe.
The Mt Ida goldfield is underpinned by two distinct mineralised greenstone shear systems. The western Mt Ida (Bottle Creek) shear hosts larger-volume gold deposits, while the Ballard shear to the east is characterised by higher-grade, lower-volume narrow-vein mineralisation. The ability to blend ore from these complementary sources provides significant operational flexibility and supports optimisation of plant performance and gold recovery.
Our equipment
Aurenne's philosophy is to use new equipment for new projects, so we partnered with Komatsu to acquire a brand new fleet of EX1250 diggers and DT785-7 haul trucks.
Our mining fleet also includes new dozers, loaders, and graders to complement these machines. Our workshops are fully equipped with modern facilities and equipment to help reduce labour time, with a focus on maximising our team’s performance.
We have put emphasis on creating a workshop environment that doesn’t resemble traditional mining camp workshops. At Aurenne, we believe that having state-of-the-art equipment and facilities is crucial to delivering top-notch results.
Our people are the key to our success.
At Aurenne Group Mining, employment represents more than just a job.
Alongside competitive salaries and modern facilities, we offer something equally important — a culture built on teamwork, respect, and shared ambition.
Our Aurenne “Family” culture reflects our commitment to supporting professional growth while recognising the importance of lifestyle balance.
